Refer to the following chart before requesting service:
SYMPTOM
No dial tone.
Phone does not work. AC cord not plugged in.
Phone does not ring.
The display is faded.
Caller ID not working. Cords connected improperly.
Memory dialing does
not work.
Number/Name did not Phone picked up after first
appear on display.
Radio, no sound.
Alarm does not
turn on.

POSSIBLE CAUSE
The line cord is not
plugged in.
Battery is weak/dead.
RINGER switch set to OFF.
Battery is weak or dead.
Contrast is set low.
Caller ID service not turned
on.
The telephone numbers
were not programmed in.
ring.
Volume at minimum.
AC adapter not plugged in.
ALARM1 and/or 2 is not set to Press the desired ALARM
MUSIC or ALARM.
Volume at minimum.

POSSIBLE SOLUTION
Plug in the line cord.
Plug AC cord in.
Replace battery.
Set RINGER switch to
HI or LO position.
Install new battery or
connect AC adapter.
Set contrast higher.
Connect cords properly.
Turn on caller ID service
through your local phone
company.
Program the numbers
in following the instructions
in the manual.
Allow the phone to ring
twice before answering.
Raise volume.
Plug in AC adapter.
button to turn the alarm on.
Raise volume.
