    OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS Before using for the first time 1. Ensure all packaging, swing tags and promotional labeling has been removed from the toaster and check that the toasting slots are empty before connecting to the wall power outlet. 2. Position your toaster in a well-ventilated area, on a firm, level, heat-resistant surface, clear of curtains, drapes and other combustible materials.
  • Page 7 4. Operate the toaster by pressing the bread carriage lever down until it locks into place. It will not lock down unless the toaster is connected to the electricity supply. 5. The toaster will cook the toast for a period of time according to the position of the browning control.

    Bagel Function 1. This function switches off the rear elements. 2. Place the side you want toasted facing the front of the toaster, so it is visible through the glass. 3. Insert the bagel into the toasting slot. 4. Press the bread carriage lever down until it locks into place. The bread guides will automatically adjust to hold the bagel slices in place.
