VOLUME
Adjustspeakervolumefrom0to20.Thedefaultsettingis7.Withasettingof
U0V, the detector will function as normal but it will not emit any sound when
targetsaredetected.
TheF44hasFeTone™,adjustableIronaudio,afeaturetoreducethevolume
ofirontargetstominimiOeuserfatigue.
Volumesettingsof10T20areavailabletocontrolthevolumeleveloftheiron
targets. As you increase volume from 10 to 20, iron-volume changes from
silenttomaximum.Ateachofthe10T20volumesettings,nonferroustarget
responseremainsatmaximumvolume.Atvolumesettings0T9bothferrous
andnonferroustargetshaveeFualvolume.
Exampleatvolumesetting15,nonferroustargetvolumeismaximum,ferrous
targetvolumeisatU5V,orhalfvolume.

Adjustthesensitivityfrom1to20.Thedefaultsettingis12.Thehigherthe
number,themoresensitivethedetector.
If the detector beeps erratically or beeps when there are no metal objects
beingdetected, reducethesensitivity.
The searchcoil produces a magnetic field and then detects changes in that
magneticfieldcausedbythepresenceofmetalobjects.Thismagneticfield
the detector creates is also susceptible to electromagnetic energy (EMI)
producedbyotherelectronicdevices.Electricfences,cellphones,cellphone
towers,etc.,allproduceEMIwhichcaninterferewiththedetectorandcause
ittobeepwhennometalispresentandsometimestobeeperratically.
Sensitivitysettingswillbesavedwhenthedetectoristurnedoff.
