DETECTING AND CORRECTING ERRORS
The E [error) display lIIuminales and a lOne sounds when thE! machine detects an unacceptable keyboard entry.
The [CLEAR) key Is Losed to correct
an
error that has not been completed or printed on L'1e tape, When this key
Is
pressed,
Ule display clears and the key board Unlocks. You shOUld detennlne what caused the error belore repeating and. co'reCllng
the
transac~on.
You may also use the [CLEAR] key II you realize in mld-Uansactlon Ihal you

made a ml:nake.
On rare occasIons an error cannot
De
cleared by use 01 !he [CLEAR] key.

t'1ls occurs, please refer to "Troubleshooting."
The (VOID) key corrects an error already prlntlKl on the rape, either tram an entry just comoleled or one made earlier. To
void an entry jU:s1 completed. simply press [VOID] and Ule entry is reprinted with a "VO" symbol lollowlng the amount. To
void
an
earlier en!ry, reenter the incorrect transac:tJon
