5.3.1 Record Modes

C: Continuous Record
• Used when continuous recording is preferred, without motion or alarm detection.
M: Motion Record
• Recording is done using motion detection.
A: Alarm Record
• Records when an alarm condition is detected via an external alarm input.
• If alarm input is detected during the configured capture time, the associated camera(s) video is recorded.
• If the alarm condition is detected outside of the capture time, the alarm is ignored.
• If the related camera or timeline is set to Continuously Record, Alarm recording cannot be used.
P: Pre-alarm Record
• When motion is detected for a camera, all motion events are recorded, in addition to 5 seconds of video before
the motion event.
• If the corresponding camera or timeline is set to Continuously Record, the Pre-alarm function cannot be used.
N: (Notify) Motion Alarm
• When motion is detected in a camera scene, remote notification (as defined via Communications Setup) is sent.

Description
Select any day for designation as a custom event. Navigate via << to move to the prior
month, >> to move to the next month. Today returns to the current Month/Day/Year.
Choose Month/Day/Year for specific custom event(s). Selecting None designates this day
only (not to be repeated at any interval) as a custom event.
This function shows the designated custom event and its repeated date in the list.
Additional custom event dates will be listed in numerical order.
Click to add a designated custom event to the Custom list.
Click to delete a stored custom event once it has been selected from the Custom List.
