14. Put the cover back on the dust container and lock by
turning it anti-clockwise. Make sure when putting it on
the marking on the cover is above the marking on the
dust container (Fig. 24/1).
15. Put the dust container back into the cylinder vacuum
cleaner and lock it with a firm push. It clicks shut audi-
bly.
The Hygienic exhaust filter (Fig. 25/1) removes micro-
scopic particles from the exhaust air stream.
Checking: Check the hygienic exhaust filter regularly, at
least every 3 – 6 months.
Cleaning: If you find that the filter is dirty, clean it as de-
scribed below:
1. Switch off the appliance, ZChapter 3.2, "Switching off
and retracting the power cable".
2. Press the locking device (Fig. 26/1) down to open the
exhaust filter cover and remove the cover.
3. Remove the hygienic exhaust filter (Fig. 27).
4. Clean the hygienic exhaust filter by tapping out the dirt
into a dustbin. If this proves to be insufficient, remove
the dirt with a soft brush, e.g. the furniture brush sup-
plied with the appliance.
If such dry cleaning is not sufficient, rinse the filter after-
wards in clear, cold water.
ATTENTION:
The filter is washable, but it may not be cleaned in dish-
washers or washing-machines. Do not use chemical
cleansers to clean the filter.. Leave the filter element to
dry after cleaning (approx. 24 hours at room tempera-
ture). Only put it back into the appliance when it is com-
pletely dry.
5. If the filter is damaged, replace it (ZChapter 5.3, "Spare
parts").
6. Put the new / cleaned and completely dry hygienic ex-
haust filter back into its receptacle with the arrow point-
ing up (Fig. 27).
7. Then attach the exhaust filter cover by first hooking it in
at the bottom and then locking it into place by pressing
firmly until you hear and feel it snap into place.
