ELECTRIC MOTOR LOADS
It is characteristic of common electric motors in normal operation to draw up to six times their running current while start-
ing. This table may be used to estimate the watts required to start "Code G" electric motors; however, if an electric motor
fails to start or reach running speed, turn off the appliance or tool immediately to avoid equipment damage. Always check
the requirements of the tool or appliance being used compared to the rated output of the generator.

EXTENSION CORD
See Figure 1.
The generator is supplied with a 5 ft. 1 GA SJTW 4-conductor
105ºC extension cord. This cord is equipped with an L14-
0P twist-lock plug on one end which plugs directly into the
corresponding twist-lock receptacle on the control panel of
the generator. The opposite end has four 5-0R receptacles
that can be used to power individual loads. NOTE: For 120
volt use only. Make sure the loads do not exceed the 20
amp rating of the extension cord. Circuit breaker protection
is provided for on the control panel of the generator.
The receptacles on the extension cord are color coded with
blue and red receptacles. When several loads are powered
at the same time, it is best to keep equal loads supplied to
each separately colored half if possible. Each half of the con-
nector is capable of sustaining 0 amps of current provided
the generator is capable of supplying 4800 watts of power.
