The ZDS-1/25 Development System is a low cost standalone development system used with the 2 8 0 CPU
for prototype development of systems employing clock rates not exceeding 2.5MHz. This system provides a
standalone microcomputer with dual floppy discs, optional peripherals and interfaces to assist the user in the
software and hardware development activity of a Z80-based system. Two modes of operation are provided to
accomplish this: User Mode and Monitor Mode. In Monitor Mode the system enables the user to utilize the
RIO operating system to develop, edit and modify his software. In User Mode, the system memory and peri-
pheral devices may partially or totally be allocated to the prototype system, with the exception of I/O ports
EQ)H through EFH. This enables the user to execute his program in a real time environment.
