Section 5 - WEB Configuration
This page will allow you to change the Administrator password. You can also enable Remote Management.
Note: The default User Name (admin) for the device cannot be changed.
Admin
Enter and confirm a new password for the
Password:
administrator login name. The administrator
can change the password but not the login
name "admin".
Enable Remote
Remote management allows the DIR-457/
Management:
DIR-457U to be configured from the Internet by
a web browser. A username and password is
still required to access the Web-Management
interface. In general, only a member of your
network can browse the built-in web pages
to perform Administrator tasks. This feature
enables you to perform Administrator tasks
from the remote (Internet) host.
Remote Control
Enter the remote IP address from which
IP Address:
the administrator logs in when remote
management is enabled.
The port number used to access the DIR-457/
Port:
DIR-457U.
Enable Remote
Check this to enable remote device
Telnet:
management via Telnet.
Remoter
Enter the remote IP address from which the
Control IP
administrator logs in when remote Telnet
Address:
management is enabled.
Click the Save Settings button at the top or bottom of the window to save the Administrator settings.
