Starting
Before starting the engine, close the throttle completely and pull the choke control completely out. When air-fuel
mix-
ture is too rich, push back the choke control
partly.

Recoil Starting
Pull the rope forcefully, after confirming the position where the cylinder compression starts.
b)
Electric Starting
1.
If the engine fails to start at the first attempt, repeat several times.
(Engage
the starter each time, only
after the engine has completely stopped.
2.
Never engage the starter while the engine is still rotating.

Warming up
After starting the motor, idle the engine for 2 or 3 minutes, with the choke partially pulled
out.
Push back the choke
control gradually as the engine gets
warm.
Never run the engine at high speed; without
load
the moving parts may lose
lubrication and burn out.

Stopping Engine
When stopping the engine, allow it to idle down before turning switch off.

The electrode gap in the spark plug is .012

Breaker points gap should be adjusted to .012
