Problem
The Hygiene Info
maintenance light
comes on.
The Excess detergent
maintenance light
comes on.
The Main wash or
Rinse indicator light
is flashing in the
programme sequence
display.
The Anti-crease /
Finish indicator light
flashes in the
programme sequence
display.
A To switch off the fault indicator: Switch the washing machine off with the K
button and turn the programme selector to Finish.
The maintenance lights come on at the end of the programme and when the
washing machine is switched on.

Possible cause
A programme using a
temperature above
60°C has not been
run for a long time.
Excessive foam has
built up during
washing.
The washing machine
has encountered a
fault during the wash
programme.
The position of the programme selector was altered
after the start of the programme. Turn the programme
selector back to the programme previously chosen.
Remedy A
In order to prevent bacteria and
unpleasant odours building up in
the machine, run a Cottons 90°C
programme using powder
detergent.
Use less detergent next time
and follow the manufacturer's
instructions on dosage given on
the packaging.
Start the programme again. If
the fault indicator occurs again,
contact Miele Service.
