6. Connecting Trunks
Never carry out installation or service of trunks or telephone lines during an
electrical storm.
Analogue trunk for DX-408/Digital trunks for DX-408i
Analogue trunks (Loop start lines) are connected to the DX-408 system through the modular
jacks (RJ-12 (6pin)). ISDN trunks (BRI lines) are connected to the DX-408i system through
the modular jacks (RJ-45 (8pin)). (See [Working on Cabling] on pages 2-13 to 2-15)
For the DX-408i digital key system, the CO3.4/BRI2 trunk line (2 channels) can be used as
ISDN extensions.
