When needed, your fax machine can print out lists con-
taining the most important functions and settings of the
machine. Press the key on the fax machine. Select with

ing C. Move the cursor on the display with
Delete single numbers and letters with C or
interrupt an operation in progress and return to
the root menu without saving, press STOP.

Setting the Country

Use function 11 to select the specifi c country in which
you will be operating your fax machine. It is essential to
select the country because otherwise your fax machine
will not have the correct settings for the local telephone
network.

Setting the Date and Time

To set the date and time on the display, press
MENU/OK, and OK.

Enter the date and time in the following manner:
08 08 05 14 00
2005, 2:00 pm.
3 Confi rm with OK. Pressing C will return you to the
previous menu step; pressing STOP will return you
to the root menu.
Entering Your Telephone
Number and Name
Your number and name, entered using function 14, will
appear in the page header of every fax you send and as the
sender identifi cation of your SMS messages. In each case,
up to 20 diff erent characters are available to you.
1 Press MENU/OK,

Enter your fax number with the number keys, for
example,
00 44 123 45
a plus sign, simultaneously press the blue key and Q.
You may add a space by pressing the

Enter your name using the letter keyboard. To enter
capital letters, press and the desired key simultane-

ously. You may add a space by pressing the

keys. To enter symbols, press the blue key and the
corresponding letter key simultaneously. It is not
possible to insert a symbol as the fi rst character of
your name.
4 Confi rm with OK. Pressing C will return you to the
previous menu step; pressing STOP will return you
to the root menu.

Page Header

Your name and number appear in the page header of each
fax transmission. If you do not wish to send out your
information, you can turn this function off .
