White balance
• When setting the white balance by pointing the camera at a sheet of white
paper, the correct setting may not be obtained if the light reflected by the

paper is too bright or too dark.
• White balance may not be effective under some special light sources.
• After setting a white balance other than AUTO, play back the picture and
check the colors on the monitor.
• When the flash is fired with a white balance setting other than AUTO, colors
may appear different in the resulting picture from the colors you see on the
monitor.
White balance compensation
This function lets you make fine changes to the AUTO, PRESET 1, PRESET 2
and one-touch white balance settings.

Follow the procedure on P.109 - P.111 to

select the white balance you want to adjust.
Press e while holding down WB.

Press ac to select >, then press d.

The color becomes bluer each time you
press a, and redder each time you press
c, depending on the original white balance
conditions. Press e to save your
adjustment.
• The white balance can be adjusted 7 increments in
both the red and blue directions.
• After saving the adjustment, press e again to exit the menu.
