CHECKING THE FRONT BRAKE PADS/

CHECKING THE REAR BRAKE SHOES

CHECKING THE FRONT BRAKE PADS
1.Remove:
Front wheel
G
2.Check:
Brake pads
G
Wear indicator groove 1 almost touch the
brake disc → Replace the brake pads as a
set.
Refer to "FRONT BRAKE" in CHAPTER 8.
Brake pad wear limit a:
1 mm (0.04 in)
3.Operate the brake lever.
4.Install:
Front wheel

CHECKING THE REAR BRAKE SHOES
1.Operate the brake lever or brake pedal.
2.Check:
Wear indicator 1
G
Reaches the wear limit line 2 → Replace
the brake shoes as a set.
Refer to "REAR BRAKE" in CHAPTER 8.
