Setting the remote control
Check whether the remote
control controls all functions as
required, e.g. volume control
"VOL+" and "VOL–" or channel
change "CH+" and "CH–".
If the remote control does not
control all of the functions, enter a
different code number and then
check whether the functions are
controlled.
Assigning code numbers with
automatic search
If you cannot find a code number for
your device, the device button must
be assigned to your remote control
using the automatic search function.
Switch on the device which you
would like to operate with the
remote control.
If necessary, insert a video tape,
a CD or a DVD, in order to be
able to check the remote control
functions.
Select a device button on the
remote control.
Point the remote control towards
the device.
Press the "SET" button and hold
this down.
Press the desired device button,
e.g. "TV1".
The LED lights up continuously.
Release both buttons.
Briefly press the "SET" button
again.

remote control is set to search

Information
The direction of the search can be
changed by pressing the "SET"
button again.
If you have not pressed a button
within a period of 30 seconds, the
remote control switches to stand-by
mode, and you have to start the
process from the beginning again.
Press the "POWER" button and
hold this down.
When the device switches off,
immediately release the
"POWER" button. The remote
control has found a possible
code number.
Check whether the remote
control controls all functions as
required, e.g. volume control
"VOL+" and "VOL–" or channel
change "CH+" and "CH–".
If the remote control does not
control all of the functions,
search mode must be entered
again. To do this, press the
"SET" button and proceed as
described above.
If the remote control controls all
of the functions, press the
desired device button again, e.g.
"TV1".
The LED is extinguished and the
code number is stored.
