Foreword
These operating instructions
describe the following for the
HEITECH universal IR remote
control, briefly referred to as the
remote control:
• preparation for operation,
• setting for operation and
• operation.
Read through these operating
instructions carefully and store
them.
These operating instructions do not
describe how to operate the
individual devices with the remote
control. For precise instructions,
please refer to the operating
instructions for the relevant devices.
A glossary is provided at the end of
these instructions to help you to
understand abbreviations and
specialist terms.
Structure of the
operating instructions
Various elements of these
instructions are provided with
defined structural features. This
enables you to easily distinguish
whether this involves
normal text,
• lists or
⇒ action steps.

Description

The remote control enables you to
operate up to 8 different consumer
electronics devices. You no longer
require a separate remote control
for each device.
This remote control is a good
replacement if your original remote
control is defective or has been lost.
This remote control can be used to
specifically select your devices and
operate all of their important basic
functions. Control commands are
transmitted to the device using
infrared light. The original remote
controls only have to be used for
certain special functions.
Unknown code numbers can be
determined with the remote control
via an automatic search function.
The remote control is equipped with
a "punch-through" function. If you
are watching a film, volume control
can always be carried out directly
on the television, even if the remote
control is currently set to a different
device, e.g. video recorder, satellite
receiver or hi-fi system. This also
applies if this other device is
equipped with a separate volume
control function.
The "punch-through" function can
be selected or deselected.
