Determining code numbers

Each consumer electronics device
has a three-digit code number. This
depends on the manufacturer and
the type of device.
Information
The code numbers for
conventional manufacturers can
be found in the code Table from
page 13 onwards.
Several code numbers are
specified for many manufacturers.
Use the code Table to look for
the manufacturer of the device
which you would like to operate
with the remote control.
Once you have found the
manufacturer, look for the
column containing the desired
device type (e.g. video recorder,
television ...). The possible code
number or code numbers for
your device can be found there.
Information
If you cannot find a code number
for your device, this can be
determined using the automatic
search function, see page 8.

Assigning code numbers

Use the code Table to look for
the code number of the device
which you would like to operate
with the remote control.
Switch the device on.
Select a device button on the
remote control.
Point the remote control towards
the device.
Press the "SET" button and hold
this down.
Press the device button.
The LED lights up continuously.
Release both buttons.
Enter the code number using the
numerical keys.
Information
If you have not pressed a
numerical key after 10 seconds,
the remote control switches to
stand-by mode, and you have to
start the process from the
beginning again.
If the code number is correct, the
LED is immediately extinguished.
If the code number is incorrect, the
LED flashes twice. Then enter one
of the other possible code numbers.
Change the code number until the
code number has been found and
the LED is extinguished.
