Internal Components
Review the following sections for a description of the system's internal hardware.
Hard Disk Drive
A standard 2.5-inch, 9.5 mm or 12.7 mm hard disk drive ships with the system.
VersaBay III
A diskette drive, a CD-ROM drive, a DVD-ROM drive, or a CD read/write drive comes
installed in the NEC VersaBay III on the right side of the system.
Main Battery
The eight-cell or twelve-cell Lithium-Ion (Li-Ion) battery provides the main power source in
your NEC Versa SXi computer. See Chapter 9 for a list of battery specifications. In addition to
this battery, the CMOS battery and bridge battery also provide system power.
