Dispose of oil, grease, filters, fuel, cleaning substances, brake fluid, batteries, etc. according to regulations. Info If you clean the motorcycle regularly, its value and appearance are maintained over a long period. Avoid direct sunshine on the motorcycle during cleaning.
  • Page 89: Storage

KTM recommends propping up the motorcycle. Jack up the motorcycle. ( P. 32) Cover the motorcycle with a porous sheet or blanket. Do not use non-porous materials since they prevent humidity from escaping, thus causing corrosion. Info Avoid running the engine for a short time only. Since the engine cannot warm up properly, the water vapor produced during combustion condenses and causes valves and exhaust system to rust.
