FOCUS LOCK

Focus lock may also be used when a special focusing situation prevents the camera from focusing on
the subject. This function is controlled with the shutter-release button.
Camera Notes
Every time a still image is recorded, it is stored with an exif tag that contains the date and time
of recording as well as shooting information. This information can be viewed on a computer with
the DiMAGE Viewer software.

RECORDING MODE

Place the subject within the monitor. Press and hold the shutter-
release button partway down to lock the focus.
• The focus signal and focus frame will appear on the monitor to
show the image is in focus.
Without lifting your finger from the shutter-release button, recom-

pose the subject within the image area. Press the shutter-release
button all the way down to take the picture.
