Using a USB cable to connect

The camera can connect to a computer using the USB cable included in your
camera package.
To connect to your computer with a USB cable:

Using an infrared transceiver to connect

Your camera automatically detects when a compatible IrDA device is present.

Plug one end of the USB cable into the USB
port.

Open the serial/USB port on the side of your
camera.

Plug the other end of the USB cable into the
serial port.

Set the Mode dial to Connect.

Turn on the camera.
If you get a message on your computer stating
that you are not connected, refer to the
USB.PDF, or for MACINTOSH Computers,
Connect.PDF, document or the online help for
troubleshooting information.
Place the camera facing the computer IrDA
transceiver.
When the two IrDA ports establish contact, the
computer emits a beep.
While in the Review mode, you can
transfer pictures from one camera to
another using an IrDA connection. Refer
to "Copying marked pictures from
camera to camera" on page 4-10.
