Ringer settings
Important:
L Before setting, make sure the TALK
indicator is off. The handset must be
operated near the base unit and while off
the base unit.
Handset ringer volume
4 levels (high/medium/low/off) are
available. The default setting is HIGH.
To select high, medium, or low

Press {V} or {^} repeatedly to select
the desired volume.

Press {PROG} or {OFF}.
To turn the ringer off
Press and hold {V} until the handset beeps
2 times.
To turn the ringer on, press {^}.
Note:
L The handset will ring at the low level
when paged by the base unit.
Programmable Settings
Handset ringer tone
You can change the ringer tone heard
when an outside call is received. There are
3 tones and 4 melodies. The default
setting is TONE 1.

Press {V} or {^}.

Press {<} or {>} repeatedly to select
the desired setting.
L You can also select the ringer tone by
pressing {1} to {7}.
{1} to {3}: Tones
{4} to {7}: Melodies

Press {PROG} or {OFF}.
Note:
L If you subscribe to a distinctive ring
service, select a tone (Tone 1 to 3). If you
select a melody, you will not be able to
distinguish lines by their ringers.
L If you select one of the melody ringer
patterns, the ringer will continue to
sound for several seconds if:
– the caller hangs up before you answer
the call.
– another person answers the call using
another phone connected on the
same line.
