Headphones
Insert headphones (not included) with a 3.5mm plug into
the jack on the left side of the radio. When headphones
are connected, the radio's speaker is automatically
disconnected.
Lock Switch
The lock switch is used to prevent unintentional
operation of the radio.
Set the lock switch to the ON position.
The lock icon
appears, and all buttons will be
disabled. To unlock, move the switch to the OFF
position.

Display Backlight
Press
to turn on the display backlight for approximately 7 seconds. Press again to turn off
the light immediately.
LOCK

DX/Local Switch
When listening to SW or FM broadcasting, the DX/Local switch adjusts the receiver's
sensitivity.
When listening to a station with a strong signal, set the switch
to LOCAL for best reception. For stations with normal or weak
signals, set to DX for maximum sensitivity.
SW EXT. ANT
To improve SW reception, you can connect an optional
external antenna (not included) directly to the SW EXT ANT
jack receiver. Connecting an external antenna automatically
disconnects the radio's built-in antenna.
