Searching for a Particular
Point on a Disc

You can locate a particular point on a disc
quickly by monitoring the picture or playing
back slowly.
Depending on the DVDNIDEO CD, you may not be
able to do some of the operations described.
Press 4 I@ or 81) while playing a disc.
When you find the point you want, press D
to return to normal speed.
Each time you press 4 I@ or 81) during
scan, the playback speed changes. Three
speeds are available. With each press the
indication changes as follows:
Playback direction
x2, (DVDKD only) --, 1 H + 2H
Opposite direction
x24 (DVD only) + l+r -+ 2~

The x2,1x24 playback speed is about twice
the normal speed. The 2m/244 playback
speed is faster than lm/lM.
You can use this function only for DVDs or
VIDEO CDs. Press rlQ or 81p when the
player is in pause mode. To return to the
normal speed, press D.
Each
time
you press 46 or 81, during
Slow-motion Play, the playback speed
changes. Two speeds are available. With
each press the indication changes as follows:
Playback direction
21, H 1Bt
Opposite direction (DVD only)
244 H 1-l
The 21~/24I playback speed is slower than
11,/14.
