3-5. CYLINDER (DRUM)
3-5-1. CYLINDER MOTOR (ROTOR AND STATOR)
(See Fig. 3-5-1)
1) Refer to section 3-2 and remove the mechanism unit.
2) Remove the screw 1 and remove the cylindere arth
assembly 2 .
3) Remove the two screws 3, the rotor 4 and the spacer
8 .
4) Remove the three screws 5 and the stator 6.
ASSEMBLY NOTES:
1. When fitting the rotor 4, align the long hole 9 -beside
the triangular mark on the rotor 4 - with the hole 0 in
the rotor disk.
2. When fitting the screws 3 and 5, use the torque
gauge screwdriver (J-6082-047-A). Give the screws a
tightening torque of 3 kg/cm.
3. Align the dowels !¡ on the cylinder earth assembly 2
with the holes !™ in the chassis.
4. After fitting the mechanism unit, do the switching
position adjustment of the servo circuit.

3-5-2. CYLINDER ASSEMBLY (See Fig. 3-5-2)
1) Refer to sections 3-5-2, and remove the cylinder unit,
the rotor, and the stator.
2) Remove the three screws 1 and the cylinder assembly

ASSEMBLY NOTES:
1.Be careful not to scratch or soil the top of the cylinder.
After fitting the cyiinder, clean the surface.
2.Align the cylinder assembly 2 with the two dowels 4 on
the mechanism chassis 3.
3.After fitting the cylinder assembly, do the tape path
adjustment as instructed in section 4-3 and do the
switching position adjustment of the servo circuit.
