Chapter 6: Various Setups

Distance Setting

With Dolby Digital DVD playback, the distances between the listening position and all of the center/
surround speakers should ideally be identical.
When the distances between the listening position and speakers are set, this unit adjusts the delay time of
the speakers automatically. This setting is applied only when this unit outputs analog 6-channel signals.
(The delay time adjustment is available only with Dolby Digital.)
¶ The delay time delays the sound output from each speaker to compensate for the difference in distances of
the speakers so that the sounds of all speakers reach the listening position at the same timing.
Before setting the speakers, be sure to check their distances in advance.
