Inserting discs The disc tray accommodates up to five discs. The discs can be changed during playback without stopping the currently played disc. Be sure to operate a button when opening/closing the tray or rotating the tray. Never attempt to move the tray with your hand.
Playing discs by selecting the group, track, title, chapter or file Input the number of the group, track, title, chapter or file using 0 to 9, +10 and +100 on the remote. ¶ With a DVD disc when a number is input during playback, playback of the chapter or track having the same number as the input number in the same group, or title starts.
Forward search and reverse search During playback, press the 1 or ¡ button on the remote. ¶ When OSD is displayed, pressing the ON SCREEN button turns it off and shows the speed in place. ¶ The first press of the 1 or ¡ button starts forward search or reverse search at the lowest speed step.
Menu playback of DVD When a DVD containing the recording of the top menu or menu is played, the top menu or menu is displayed. These menus allow you to select the position you want to play easily based on an interactive method. The following operation procedure is the basic procedure.
Skipping indexes in DVD AUDIO DVD AUDIO tracks contain the recording of indexes. The following operation makes it possible to skip the currently played track index and restart playback from the next index. Press the INDEX ∞ or INDEX 5 button during play- back.
Switching the time display The information in the time display can be switched over. This operation is not available in stop mode, during menu playback of DVD or with a DVD for which time display is disabled. If P.B.C. is set to On with a VCD, set P.B.C. to Off. ∞ Every time the DISPLAY button is pressed during playback, the time display switches to the number display of the group, track, title, and chapter or file.

Time display switching and time search Use the following procedure to switch the type of information shown by the time display shown in the OSD or player display. Time search is also available for specifying the position to start playback by inputting the time information.
Memory playback When you register a scene you like in memory, you can start playback from that scene any time you want. Up to 10 scenes can be registered in memory. Memory registration and deletion are not available during menu playback of DVD or with a DVD VIDEO for which time display is disabled.
