CHAPTER 4 BASIC OPERATIONS

Check that the AMS indicator is lit. If not, press the auto
m o d e s e l e c t i o n k e y t o l i g h t t h e i n d i c a t o r .

Set the original(s).
T h e s i z e o f t h e o r i g i n a l w i l l b e a u t o m a t i c a l l y d e t e c t e d a n d t h e
paper of the same size as the original will be selected.
* T h e o r i g i n a l s i z e i s n o t a u t o m a t i c a l l y s e l e c t e d o n s o m e
m o d e l s . S e l e c t t h e o r i g i n a l s i z e u s i n g t h e O r i g i n a l k e y .

Press the Paper Select key to specify the paper size.
T h e m a g n i f i c a t i o n r a t i o i n d i c a t i o n f l a s h e s a n d t h e n c h a n g e s
t o t h e i n d i c a t i o n o f t h e n u m b e r o f c o p i e s .
* Copying will start when the Start key is pressed.

T h e z o o m r a t i o c a n b e s e t t o a n y v a l u e f r o m 5 0 t o 2 0 0 % i n 1 %
increments.

Press the Zoom(+) or Zoom(-) key to change the displayed
z o o m r a t i o .

NOTE
After pressing the Zoom(+) or Zoom(-) key, the zoom ratio can also be
entered using the numeric keys.
