Caution To ensure adequate airflow across the router components, an ISM or a blank service module must be
installed in slot 5. The product number for the blank service module is SM-BLANK=.
ISA
The Integrated Service Adapter (ISA) is a service adapter that resides in slot 3 in Cisco 7120 series
routers, and slot 4 in the Cisco 7140 series routers. The ISA has three LEDs, as shown in
Table 1-10
