S Note

To use the quick note pad, press the S Pen button, and double-tap the screen to
open the quick note pad. Or, press the S Note icon to open the app.
The GALAXY Note 10.1 User's Digest (see page 6) has a comprehensive section
on the S Note's features.

Keyboard options

There are three keyboard layouts to choose from; the standard "QUERTY" layout, a
"split" keyboard (for thumb typists) and a floating keyboard.
"Pinch in" with two
fingers (while in a keyboard screen) to choose from the options.

Multiscreen features

The multiscreen feature splits the screen into two parts and runs two different
applications. For example, you can view a web page and take notes on the S-Note
app. At the time of writing, this feature works with six of the built-in apps. These
are the Web browser (not Chrome), the email app (not Gmail), Gallery, Video Player,
S Note, and Polaris Office.
Samsung's mini app tray is similar. You can open small "floating window" versions
of apps such as the calculator and calendar. Simply press the mini apps button
(bottom middle of the screen) and choose an app.
The GALAXY Note 10.1 User's Digest (see page 6) has a comprehensive section
on the multiscreen and mini app features.
