4. When the memo is
setup with the
needed fields and
values, save the
memo (File >
Save). Choose a
location where the
memo can be
located easily.
ListEditor will
create a mta file.
5. Connect the
camera to the
computer.
6. Copy the mta file
from the location where the memo was saved on the
computer and paste it into the "TEMPLATE" folder on the
"RICOHDCX" device.
7. Turn the camera on and look for "MEMO" icon in upper right
corner of the display screen.
8. Press the "ADJ./MEMO" button to open the memo dialog.
9. Use the arrow keys to navigate and select the options
desired for the picture, the options chosen will be added to
all pictures taken until the option is changed.
10. Temporary values may be added in the field, but entry is
slow, so it is best to have pre-defined lists.
11. If memos are no longer needed, remove all mta files from
the SD card.

3. The latch will lock when the battery is installed.
4. To remove the battery, lift the latch and tilt the camera.

Alkaline Batteries

Regular alkaline batteries will run the camera, but they do not
have the longevity of the rechargeable Lithium-ion battery.
To install alkaline batteries:
1. Note the direction indicated on
the compartment door.
2. Use the top battery to lift the
latch.

SD Card

Please refer to pages 22-23 and 25-66 of the supplied
"Camera User Guide" for additional
information.
The camera will only recognize standard SD
(non-SDHC) card which are 4 GBs or less.
Before installing the SD card, ensure the card
is "unlocked" by pushing the small tab on the
side of the card towards the top of
the card.
To install the SD card:
1. Note the direction indicated on
the compartment door.
2. Push the card all the way in until
it clicks into place.
When an SD card is inserted into the camera, the camera will
automatically switch the storage location for new pictures to the
SD card. If an SD card is installed internal memory is used.
