9. Parallel Interface Circuit (3535P-type only)

1) Input Signals to 3535P
(a) D0-D7
These are circuits to input 8-bit parallel data signals from the host, and are input to PD0 to PD7 of IC1
through IC9 (74LS373).
(b) STB
These are signals to read 8-bit parallel data signals, D0 to D7, and control and input IC12 (74LS73) and
IC9 (74LS73) to INT1 of IC1 through C16, R2, and IC10 (74LS32).
(c) RESET (Option)
This is signal to initialize the entire printer from the outside. It is connected to RESET of IC1 through
C101, R104, R105, and IC11 (7406).
2) Output Signal from 3535P
(a) ACK
This is a data request signal of 8-bit parallel data signals (D0 to D7), and is output at the end of
BUSY signals. It is controlled by PC1 of IC1, and output through IC11 (7406).
(b) BUSY
This is a signal to show BUSY status of the printer. It is controlled and output by and STB signal and
PC2 of IC1.
(c) FAULT
This is output when the printer is in an alarm condition, and stops all the control. It is controlled by PC0
of IC1, and is output through IC11 (7406).
