Display Setting

Display is selected on the setup main menu in step 2.

Changing Lighting Colour

You can change the lighting colour of the unit's buttons.
 Setting item: Illumination
Setting contents:
TYPE1 (Initial setting) / TYPE2 / TYPE3 / TYPE4
TYPE 1 :
The colour of all buttons is blue.
TYPE 2 :
The colour of all buttons is green.
TYPE 3 :
The colour of all buttons is amber.
TYPE 4 :
The colour of all buttons is red.

Dimmer Control

Set the Dimmer control to Auto to decrease the illumination brightness
of the unit with the head lights of the vehicle ON. This mode is useful if
you feel the unit's backlighting is too bright at night.

Dimmer Level Setting

In the Dimmer Level setting, three levels are available, the highest level
(Level3) being the dimmest when the car headlights are on.

Scroll Type Setting

Choose from two scrolling methods.
Select the type you prefer.
 Setting item: Scroll Type
Setting contents:
TYPE1 (Initial setting) / TYPE2
TYPE1 :
The characters scroll from right to left, one character at a time,
until the entire title has scrolled.
TYPE2 :
Words are built up from left to right, a single character at a time.
When the display is full, it is cleared and the subsequent words are
displayed the same way until all words of the title have been
shown.

Scroll Setting (Text Scroll)

This CD player can scroll the disc and track names recorded on
CD-TEXT discs, as well as the text information of MP3/WMA/AAC
files, folder names, and tags.
 Setting item: Text Scroll

Manual:
The above information is scrolled only when a disc is loaded, a
channel or track is changed, etc.

information are scrolled continuously.

• In parts of the display, scrolling may not occur, or scroll content may
differ.

Opening Message ON/OFF Setting

This unit includes a special message feature with various patterns, which
when enabled displays opening messages for certain occasions.
For example, when you turn this unit on December 25th (according to
the unit's date setting), a Christmas greeting is displayed if the Opening
Message is set to ON.

Tuner Setting

Tuner is selected on the setup main menu in step 2.

Setting the TUNER (FM) tone quality

This unit can set your preferred tone quality for FM radio source.
 Setting item: FM Tuner Setup

Hi-Fi / Normal (Initial setting) / Stable
Hi-Fi:
High-quality setting
Normal:
Standard setting
Stable:
Control noise
Note
• Noise may be more noticeable when Hi-Fi is set, depending on the
reception status. In this case, the Normal setting is recommended.
iPod&USB Setting
iPod&USB is selected on the setup main menu in step 2.

Setting the USB Skip function

During searching, you can skip over designated folders/files by pressing
and holding 1  2 for at least 2 seconds. For example, if you select
10File in the searching mode, by pressing and holding 1  you can skip
backward 10 folders/files from the current folder/file; by pressing and
holding  2 you can skip forward 10 folders/files from the current
folder/file. If the folders/files searched are less than the assigned
skipped-over ones, pressing and holding 1  2 will skip to the first or
last folder/file.
 Setting item: USB Skip
Setting contents:
10File (Initial setting) / 20File / 50File / 100File
