9 TROUBLESHOOTING

9-1 Error indication

Error indications are displayed on-screen whenever there is an abnormality with signal reception, the hard disk, or the menu
settings (such as timer recording setting errors).
On-screen indication/
[WARNING] indication
"HDD ERROR"
The [WARNING]
indication lights.
"HDD FULL"
The [WARNING]
indication lights.
"LOW BATTERY"
The [WARNING]
indication lights.
"FAN MOTOR ERROR"
The [WARNING]
indication lights.
"INPUT SIG ERROR"

Cause
The hard disk is not functioning properly.
There is no space on the hard disk for
recording. Even if the required recording
time is short, the number of allowable
recordable events may have been
exceeded (13,000 for standard format or
about 100,000 for extended format).
The backup battery is not installed or
need to be replaced.
The fan motor is not functioning properly.
No video signal is input.
No events are programmed for timer
recording.
Possible solution
Consult your nearest JVC dealer.
Format the disk to clear all data and
optimize available disk space. Or, set
<REPEAT REC> to "AL•STOP",
"AL•LOCK" or "ALL".
* When the disk is formatted, the re-
corded data is erased.
Replace the battery with a new one.
Consult your nearest JVC dealer.
● Engage the Stop mode and check the
connections.
* When "Camera abnormal" is displayed
and recording continues, recording may
not be performed normally. First,
remove the cause of the abnormality.
Check the timer program.
