Troubleshooting Guide (Continued)
No RPM
RPM, Calories, Distance show "0" on Data window.
1.
Check other console function (time, pulse, level).
2.
Check wiring harness (Procedure 4).
3.
Check RPM sensor (Procedure 6).
4.
Replace console (Procedure 5).
Max Resistance
Get max resistance at Level 1 or it is very hard to pedal right after power on.
1.
Check user's programming (See owner's manual).
2.
Check to see if all moving components spin freely.
3.
Check wiring harness (Procedure 4).
4.
Check belt alignment (Procedure 10).
5.
Check brake assembly (Procedure 9).
No Resistance Change
Unit turns on but the resistance won't change when requested at the console.
1.
Check user's programming (See owner's manual).
2.
Check wiring harness (Procedure 4).
3.
Check brake assembly (Procedure 9).
4.
Replace console (Procedure 5).
Hand Grip Pulse Heart Rate Problem
Erratic heart rate reading; too low, too high, or not working at all.
1.
Moisten hands lightly and retry.
2.
Check results with another user.
3.
Check hand pulse wire harness (Procedure 7).
4.
Check hand grip pulse sensors (Procedure 8).
5.
Replace the console (Procedure 5).
Chest Strap Heart Rate Problem
Erratic heart rate reading; too low, too high, or not working at all.
1.
Check the chest strap belt transmitter.
2.
Check for interference from outside source.
3.
Replace console (Procedure 5).
Programming Problem
Not starting correctly, not accepting program time, not taking user info, etc.
1.
Check user's programming (See owner's manual).
2.
Run console test program (See test program instructions).
3.
Replace console (Procedure 5).
