Heater
The windshield defrosting and
defogging system assists in pro-
viding good visibility through des-
ignated areas of the windshield
under most inclement weather con-
ditions. For immediate operation
of the vehicle, the windshield
should be scraped clear.
Push the AIR lever to the right
to mid-position to allow outside
air to pass through the heater.
Adjust TEMPERATURE lever
as required to give the desired de-
gree of heat. Full right position
provides maximum heat.
Move the DEFROSTER lever
to the right when windshield de-
frosting is needed. When the lever
is in off
position,
air is directed
out the floor outlets. Full right po-
sition diverts the entire air flow to
the defrosters. Vary TEMPERA-
TURE lever as required.
Fan
The fan lever has three (3) po-
sitions from low at the top to HI at
the bottom.
NOTE: Fan wiIl automatically
operate whenever ignition switch
is in the on position. There is no
OFF position.
28
Operate system for 30 seconds
before switching to "DE-ICE."
This will remove humid air from
the system and minimize rapid fog-
ging of the glass which can occur
if humid air is blown onto a cool
windshield.
Heater Operating Tips
• Clear snow and ice from hood
and air inlet in front of wind-
shield to improve heater and de-
froster efficiency and reduce the
probability of fogging on inside
of windshield.
• Operate blower on "HIGH" for
a few seconds before moving the
vehicle, to clear the intake ducts
of snow.
• Clear windshield, rear window,
outside mirrors and all side win-
dows of ice and snow before
driving vehicle.
