Viewfinder Grid Display lines which can be turned on with Custom Setting d2.
When working in DX image area setting, the Viewfinder will display the crop lines. You
can set Custom Setting a4 - AF Point Illumination to Off to grey-out the area beyond the
crop lines if desired. You can also set the Depth-of-Field Preview Button or the Fn
Button to quickly change the Image Area (see Custom Settings). If either of these
buttons is assigned this function, you can press the button and turn the Main Command
Dial to change between FX and DX while viewing the setting on the top Control Panel,
in the Viewfinder, or on the rear Information Display.
