Power Supply Considerations

Power connectors
D1808 is powered by a split plane PSU with four +12V-rails and 700W continuous power. One rail
is for each processor, one for systemboard and one for peripherals (e.g. HHDs, add. 6-pin graphics
connector). There are three power connectors on this motherboard as listed below.
EPS/12V Power Connectors
24-pin baseboard power connector
4-pin additional baseboard power connector
By following SSI EEB v3.51 specifications, D1808 is designed with two separate voltage
regulator circuits to provide the power for both onboard processors in separate power rail.
Using a power supply with a combined CPU power plane from the CPU power connector is not
allowed and may cause the system to fail to power up or damage to the power supply.
To avoid system damage take care not to mix connector P19 and P20.
!
The system board requires P20 with two black and two yellow wires
as additional power connector.
