The Digital Video/Audio Menu configures the digital video/audio rear-panel
connections (either enabled or disabled). Press the  buttons until the Digital
Video/Audio menu appears (shown below).
The SDI field enables or disables the Serial Digital Interface (digital video output)
from the one SDI connector on the rear of the DSR-4550. Press the  buttons to
enable or disable SDI and press the ENTER button to confirm the selection.
The AES field enables or disables the digital audio output (per a standard from the
Audio Engineering Society) for the two Digital Audio connectors on the rear of the
DSR-4550. Press the  buttons to enable or disable AES and press the ENTER
button to confirm the selection.
The AC-3 Compression Menu displays the current AC-3 compression selections
(either internal or external) for audio 1 and audio 2 channels. Press the 
buttons until the AC-3 Compression menu appears (shown below).

The Audio 1 or 2 fields sets the AC-3 decoding mode for both audio channels. If set
to Internal, the IRD decodes the AC-3 audio data. If set to External, the IRD does
not process the audio internally and it indicates there is external audio decoding
equipment associated with both audio channels.
Press the  buttons to set the AC-3 decoding on Audio 1or Audio 2 and use the
4 buttons to move from field to field within this menu.
