PRO TECT FROM FREEZING
If it becomes necessary to store in tem peratures that could
drop below 40° F, the pumping system , hoses and valves must
be protected from freezing with a methyl hydrate w indow wash-
.
er antifreeze solution
NOT E:D o not use ethylene glycol or cooling system
antifreezes.
1. Add on a gallon of window washer antifreeze
to the supply tank.
2. Turn on pump sw itch and spray until the
antifreeze solution fills the solution lines.
3. Drain out the leftover antifreeze from the
supply tank. Always allow the unit to reach
room temperatures before filling with hot
water or operating.
DAILY/REGULAR MAINTENANCE
!
WARNING
Before making any adjustments or repairs to th e
machine, disconn ect the po wer cord form electrical
sou rce.

Empty unused cleaning solution from the
solution tank.
Inspect and clean filter screens in solution tank, and

on top of tube in recovery tank.
Flush pum ping system w ith 1 or 2 gallons of
3.
clean, hot w ater.
Check spray jet for full spray pattern.
4.
Empty the recovery tank and rinse w ith clean
5.
water.
6.
Check for and rem ove any lint or debris around
brush and vac shoe.
PERIODIC MAINTENANCE
After every 25 hours of operation, flush a white
1.
vinegar solution (ON E quart vinegar to two
gallons of water) or anti-brow ning solution
(mixed as directed) through the extractor. This
will prevent build-up of alkaline residue in the
system.
If the spray jet becom es clogged, rem ove the

spray tip, wash it thoroughly, and blow dry.
NOT E: Do not use pins, wire, etc. to clean spray jet nozzle as
this w ill deform the jet and destroy the spray pattern.

Periodically inspect all hoses, electrical cables, filters,

gaskets and connections on your machine.Frayed or
cracked hoses should be repaired or replaced to
eliminate vacuum or solution pressure loss.
The electrical cable must be w ell insulated, if the cable

insulation is broken or frayed, repair or replace it
im mediately. Don't take chances with electrical fire or
shock.
5.
The filter in the bottom of the solution tank m ust be
clean to allow free flow of cleaning solution. The screen
filter on the vacuum tube in the recovery tank must be
free of lint buildup to ensure full vacuum strength.
6.
The dome gasket must be properly seated and free of
dam age to create the air seal needed to extract w ater.

Remo ve machine power cord from electrical source
before making any adjustments or repairs to the ma-
chine.

WARNING
Only qualified maintenan ce p ersonnel are to per-
form repairs.
BRUSH ASSEMBLY
Situate machine in order to access bottom cover. R emove
1.
screws (6) and bottom cover. Rem ove screws (3) and
belt cover.
Loosen nuts at brush m otor and slide motor forward
2.
to reduce belt tension. R emove belt.
Rem ove low er brush stop on belt side (closest to you with
3.
m achine upside down) and rotate black plastic finger
guard tow ard rear of machine.
4.
Rem ove one screw holding each brush bearing to
brush bracket.
5.
With the blade of a screw drive, bend bearings
inward enough to disengage locating tabs.
Slide brush, axle, and bearing out of brush bracket.
6.
Inspect/replace brush and bearings as required.
7.
The brush is equipped w ith yellow w ear indicator
bristles. T he brush should be replaced when it
wears dow n to the height of the yellow bristles.
8.
When reinstalling brush, check belt for proper
tension.
