Cables should be adequately secured, protected from
physical damage, and protected from exposure to heat.
Avoid running cables through bilges or doorways, or close
to moving or hot objects.
Avoid sharp bends.
Use a watertight feed-through wherever a cable passes
through an exposed bulkhead or deckhead.
Secure cables in place using tie-wraps or lacing twine. Coil
any extra cable and tie it out of the way.

Power cable

The power cable should be run as a single length of cable from
the unit to the boat's battery/distribution panel.
Please refer to the following table to ensure that the correct
gauge of cable is used for the required cable length.

1. The figures assume a constant current of 7A,
regardless of input voltage.
2. Cable length is the distance between the power source
and the unit.
3. These wire sizes give a total drop of about 0.5 V
between the power source and the unit, achieving a
minimum voltage at the unit of 10.5 V with a fully flat
battery at 11V.

Transducer cable

Raymarine does not recommend extending the transducer
cable. However, if this is unavoidable contact your local dealer
for assistance.
