To install a CD or DVD drive, complete the following steps.
1. Read the safety information that begins on page v, and "Installation guidelines"
on page 7.
2. Turn off the server and peripheral devices, and disconnect the power cords and
all external cables.
3. Remove the server cover (see "Removing the cover" on page 9).
4. Follow the instructions that come with the drive to set any jumpers or switches.
5. You must attach a drive mounting clip to the drive before you can install the
drive in the server. Detach the drive mounting clip that comes attached to the
side of the drive cage, as shown in the following illustration.

Then, slide the drive mounting clip to attach it to the side of the drive.
