5. Rotate the joystick until the silver indicator arrow on
the pinion gear is on the top. See Figure 3-5. The
pinion gear is located on the front of the unit below the
dash panel.
NOTE: The joystick must be angled slightly to the right as
shown Figure 3-4 and the arrow on the pinion gear at the
top to ensure full chute rotation.
6. Insert hex rod into chute control assembly. Push
rod into chute control assembly as far as possible,
keeping the holes at both ends of the hex rod pointing
upward. See Figure 3-6 and 3-7.
7. Insert the hex rod into the pinion gear below the
joystick. Make sure to line up the hole in the rod with
the arrow on the pinion gear. See Fig. 3-7.
NOTE: The hole is a reference for aligning the rod with
the indicator arrow on the pinion gear.
8. Push the rod towards the control panel until the hole
on the hex rod lines up with the hole marked by the
arrow on the chute control assembly. Insert the cotter
pin. See Figure 3-8.
NOTE: The second hole is used to achieve further en-
gagement of the hex rod into the pinion gear if required,
refer to "Chute Control Rod" in the "Adjustment" section.
