System Menu Operation

Press and hold the DISP/MENU button (30) for more than 3 seconds to access the system
menu. You can navigate through the system menu items by pressing the DISP/MENU button
(30) or the left ( ) or right ( ) joystick buttons. Once the desired menu item appears on the
display, use the up (+) or down (-) joystick buttons to adjust the selected item within 10
seconds. Press the AS/PS button (10) to return to the previous mode without waiting 10
seconds.
Stand by LCD
Use the up (+) or down (-) joystick buttons to select what will be displayed on the LCD under
the "ignition on but power off" condition. There are 3 types of stand-by LCD displays:
Time: Date and clock will display on LCD.
P.T.M. ( Personal text message): P.T.M. will continuously scroll across the LCD.
Off: Both the LCD and key illumination will remain off when the ignition is on and the radio
is off.
Personalization
The unit can be personalized as follows:
1. With the "Personalize" menu on the screen, press the audio MENU button (30) to access
the "NAME" field.
2. Use the up (+) or down (-) joystick buttons to enter a name using A-Z, a-z, 1-0, etc.
3. Use the left ( ) or right ( ) joystick buttons to move to the next or previous entry space.
4. After entering the name, press audio MENU button (30) to move to the "BIRTH" field.
5. Use the up (+) or down (-) joystick buttons to enter the birthday.
6. Press the audio MENU button (30) to confirm.
The name and birthday will appear under the following conditions:
The NAME appears directly after these system greetings: Good Morning!, Good After-
noon, Good Evening, See You, Happy Birthday, Happy New Year, and Merry Christmas.
The system will show "Happy Birthday" on the LCD, beginning at 00:01on the birth date,
under the following conditions:
When the vehicle is turned on or the unit is powered on
During Screen Saver mode, if set to P.T.M.
During Stand by LCD mode, if set to P.T.M.
Screen Saver
Use the up (+) or down (-) joystick buttons to select one of the following three screen saver
options:
OFF: The LCD will continue to display the present mode.
Clock: The LCD will display the Date/Clock if a button is not pressed within 10 seconds.
P.T.M.: The LCD will display P.T.M. if a button is not pressed within 10 seconds.
