REMOVING THE REAR WHEEL

1. Stand the scooter on a level surface.

Securely support the scooter so that there
is no danger of it falling over.
NOTE:
Place the scooter on a suitable stand so that
the rear wheel is elevated.
2. Remove:
8muffler
Refer to"ENGINE REMOVAL"in chapter
5.
3. Loosen:
8brake adjuster
4. Remove:
8wheel axle nut 1
8plate washer
8rear wheel2

CHECKING THE REAR WHEEL

1. Check:
•tire
• rear wheel
Damage/wear
Refer to"CHECKING THE TIRES "and"
CHECKING THE WHEELS" in chapter 3.
2. Measure:
• radial wheel runout
•lateral wheel runout
Refer to"CHECKING THE FRONT
WHEEL".
