Problem
Dishes and glasses are
not dry or are flecked
Tea or lipstick stains
have not been com-
pletely removed
White residue is visible
on cutlery and dishes,
clouding occurs on
glasses; film can be
wiped off
Possible cause
The rinse aid setting may
be insufficient, or the
rinse aid reservoir is
empty.
The water hardness se-
lector in the wash cabinet
is set too high.
Dishes were removed too
soon.
The wash temperature of
the selected program was
too low.
The bleaching effect of
the detergent used is too
low.
Not enough rinse aid was
used.
There is no salt in the salt
reservoir.
The salt reservoir cap
was not correctly
screwed on.
The water softener is pro-
grammed to too low of a
setting.
Phosphate-free detergent
was used.
Problem solving guide
Remedy
Increase the dosage or
refill the reservoir, see
"Before using for the first
time".
Set the selector to a lower
setting, See "Pro-
gramming and setting the
water hardness level".
Leave dishes in longer,
see "Operating the dish-
washer".
Select a program with a
higher wash temperature.
Use detergent containing
chlorine.
Increase the dosage,
see "Before using for the
first time".
Add reactivation salt,
see "Before using for the
first time".
Reseat it making sure it
screws back on correctly.
Program a higher setting,
see "Before using for the
first time".
Try detergent containing
phosphate.
