Problem
The indicator light
"Intake/Drain" is flash-
ing and the program
does not continue

in the wash cabinet

A whistling noise is
heard during the pro-

Possible cause
Water intake is restricted. – Open the water valve
Water outlet is restricted,
water remains in the wash
cabinet at the end of a
program.
The spray arm is knock-
ing against something in
the basket.
Items are not secure in
the wash cabinet.
The seal of the circulation
pump sometimes makes
a whistling noise. This
may be due to the deter-
gent.

Remedy
Before fixing the problem
you must:
– Turn the program se-
lector to the "Stop" po-
sition.
– Turn off the dishwasher
using the "On/Off" but-
ton.

– Check the water inlet
filter and clean if nec-
essary, see "Cleaning
the water inlet filter".
– Clean the filter combi-
nation, see "Cleaning
and Care".
– Clean the drain pump,
see "Cleaning the drain

valve".
– Clean the non-return

non-return valve".
– Remove any kink in the
drain hose.
Interrupt the program,
rearrange items that are
blocking spray arms.
Interrupt the program, re-
arrange dishes.
This is not a problem. Try
another detergent. Con-
sult the Miele Technical
Service Department if the
noise is persistent.
