Adjusting the Focus Manually
(Manual Focus)
While looking through the viewfinder or viewing the Live View screen, turn
the focusing ring until the subject is clearly visible. In \ mode, the shutter
can be released by pressing the shutter release button fully even if the
subject is not in focus.
Focusing Using the Viewfinder
You can manually adjust the focus using the matte field in viewfinder.

Set the focus mode switch to \.

Look through the viewfinder and
turn the focusing ring.
If the focusing ring is turned while
pressing the shutter release button
halfway, the focus indicator ] appears
and you will hear a beep when the subject
comes into focus.
