6. Operating the SDP832
This section of the manual will detail the functions and operating procedures of
the remote control, and can be a valuable user's reference guide.
• Play / Pause [ II ]
When the DVD player is in stop, pause, slow play, fast forward, or fast reverse
[

mode, you can press
to resume normal playback. Press
and the DVD player will be paused. Press

• Eject [
]
Use this key when you want to load or unload the Disc. Press the button once,
the Disc will be ejected from the unit; press it again to automatically insert Disc
back into the unit.
Warning: Never insert any foreign object or damaged CD inside of disc
load. This may permanently damage the player and void your warranty.
• Mute
Press this button to mute or silence the audio output; press it again to resume the
audio at the same volume level as before.
• Previous track [ I
]
While playing a DVD / CD disc, press this button to skip to a previous chapter or
music track.
• Next track [
I ]
While playing a DVD / CD disc, press this button to skip to the next chapter or
music track.
• F.Fwd [
]
Press this button to silently fast forward; press the button again to increase the
fast forward rate. If it pressed again the player will finally return to it's normal
playing state.
• F.Rwd [
]
Press this button to silently fast backward; press the button again to increase the
fast backward rate. If it pressed again the player will finally return to it's normal
playing state.

11. Troubleshooting

Disc will not play
Make sure the disc has been loaded into the player correctly.
Make sure the system settings are correct and the unit is set to the proper
source mode.
This unit may not compatible with all CD formats.
No sound
Check to see if the audio cables are connected securely to the player and
with other system components including an amplifier or TV.
Make sure you are following the operating instructions for the TV and or
amplifier correctly.
Make sure the system settings are correct and the unit is set to the proper

Check the volume level on the SDP832.
Remote control does not work
Check or change batteries (AAAx2).
The distance is too far. Move the remote close to the unit.
Twisting image
Check Disc for damage or scratches. Be sure the disc is properly cleaned.
This player is controlled by a microcomputer, and if any trouble occurs,
please turn off the power and resume playback only after a minimum of 10
minutes have past and when there is no evidence of trouble .
Button(s) don't work or function properly
This may result from abnormal or unstable electrical current. Should you
experience such symptoms, please turn off the power, and resume playback
after a minimum of 10 minutes.
No image on the screen
If the SDP832 is connected using composite or component video cables,
then make sure the unit is set to "YUV".
If the SDP832 is connected using the VGA cable, then make sure the unit is
set to VGA output.
Double screen
The SDP832 is set to Progressive mode. Press SETUP go to "video setup
page" select "TV mode" and change it to interlace.
Progressive mode is for component input that supports 480p or HD
component input.
Pink screen
Press SETUP then go to 'video setup page' and change component to
"YUV".
